Donald XL Robertson was born and raised in New Orleans, home to Master P's No Limit Records a label XL watched grow from infancy to infamy.  XL became an in-house producer for No Limit Records in 1999 and over the next 2 years produced on gold and platinum selling albums from Master P, Silkk The Shocker, Snoop Dogg and C-Murder under the name XL of XL Productionz.  In 2001 his production career came to a halt when his sister Traci was killed by a drunk driver.  XL left New Orleans for California and started anew, transitioning XL Productionz from a music production company to a New Media / Digital Distribution company, 1st partnering with Microsoft's MSN Music.  Working directly with content managers and indie labels XL Productionz became a licensed vendor to microsoft signing indie artist / labels to XL Productionz in order to distribute and sell their albums online thru the MSN Music platform. Currently XL has partnered with over 600 companies worldwide making XL Productionz now branded XLP one of the top tier New Media syndication and distribution companies in America.
